Affirmations Pt 1

These also serve as weekly reflections along with affirmations that are towards the end. As it says at the top of my site, this is my public diary, so I am always going to speak my mind, the good and the bad! I am a person that has thoughts, feelings, and concerns, and I hope that someone out there can relate to some of the things I write about.


This week, a theme I made for myself is "movement". I am talking about overall movement, beyond a workout. Sometimes it can be easy to be stagnate throughout the day, so I have been trying to be mindful by taking short walks at various times mostly. I have been really shooting for those recommended 10k steps.


I've come to a realization that my whole life is going to be a health journey. Each day is a step towards a healthier life, a better future life. I have been working with a health coach and her approach has be so helpful; she has worked with me on my mindset, which I feel like is not emphasized enough in the health industry. I did an exercise about my values which created a lot of clarity for me in figuring out who I am, which dictates my goals and the way I live my life. (I will be writing about these in another overall post.) After talking about how much the values exercise helped, my coach said something this week that resonated with me: "health is our world". Which seems so obvious, but when you think about it, it is SO true. It is wrapped up in our whole life (goals and values), so why not make it a priority?


Obviously easier said than done, but with my coach, we also work on making weekly habits to track. Each day, I work on doing an action for my emotional health, nutrition, and physical health. It has helped me break the things down that I want to work on, little by little, day by day. Even the smallest progress is still progress.


ANYWAY, I have been feeling good and also grateful so here are some affirmations to say in the mirror, or just out loud to yourself. Feel free to get your body into it too!


  1. I am only as limited as my mind makes me.

  2. My health = wealth!

  3. I am grateful for the opportunity to better myself each day.
